ALPESMOTORACING publishes news, reviews and guides about motorcycles and motorcycle racing. We take accuracy seriously, our fact-checking policy is public, but journalism about a fast-moving, risk-carrying, market-fragmented sport comes with inherent limits, and pretending otherwise would be the real disservice. This page states those limits plainly.
Riding involves risk, and we will not pretend otherwise
Motorcycling can injure or kill you. Racing, track riding and off-road riding raise the stakes further. Nothing on alpesmotoracing.com reduces that risk by being read. Our guides and safety coverage are general information written for a worldwide audience; they are not professional riding instruction, they do not know your skill level, your machine, your tyres, your road or your weather, and they are no substitute for certified training, current licensing, and protective equipment that fits you. If an article about trail braking and a certified instructor disagree, listen to the instructor. If we ever describe a technique used by professional racers, that is reporting on what professionals do with closed roads, medical crews and years of training, not a suggestion.
Reviews are opinions, honestly formed
A review on this site is the informed, independent opinion of the editor who tested the product, formed under the conditions described in the review and governed by our editorial standards. It is not a guarantee that a bike will behave the same under you, that gear will fit you the way it fit us, or that a product tested in one season will be identical next season. A helmet or airbag review is not a safety certification; certification is what the official standards bodies do, and we report their ratings rather than replace them.
Specifications, prices and availability vary by market
Manufacturers quote different power figures, weights, model names and equipment levels in different markets, and prices differ by country, by tax regime and by month. When we publish a specification or a price, it is the figure from the source we cite, at the time we published, for the market we name. Before you sign anything at a dealership, verify the current local figure with the dealer or the manufacturer’s local site. “Claimed” figures are the manufacturer’s numbers, not our measurements, and we label them as such.
Race results can change after the flag
The result you watched is provisional until the stewards and the timekeepers are done with it. Penalties, technical inspections, tyre pressure infringements and protests can and do reorder classifications hours or days later. We update our reporting under our corrections policy, but at any given moment an article may reflect the classification as it stood when published. For official results, the series’ own timing and documents pages are the record; we are the journalism about them.
Rumours are labelled as rumours
Rider market stories, patent-based speculation about future models, and paddock talk are covered because readers care, and they are labelled as claims and speculation, with sources attributed as precisely as we can. Do not make financial decisions, deposits on unannounced motorcycles included, based on a story whose own text tells you it is not confirmed.
Not professional advice of any kind
Nothing on this site is legal, medical, financial or mechanical advice. Maintenance content describes general procedures; your machine’s workshop manual, torque values and service schedule outrank us every time. Insurance, licensing and import rules differ wildly by jurisdiction, and an article cannot know yours. When your money, your licence or your spine is on the line, consult the relevant professional.

We link to official sources, manufacturers, retailers and other publications, and we sometimes embed third-party media. We do not control those destinations and are not responsible for their accuracy, availability or policies. Some outbound links are affiliate links, disclosed per our ownership and funding page; they never affect what we recommend.
Errors, and what to do about them
Despite the checks, errors happen: a transposed digit in a spec table, a price from the wrong market, a result overtaken by a penalty. What we cannot do is accept liability for decisions made on the strength of an article, and to the fullest extent permitted by law, we do not; the details are in our terms of service.
